After his two victories on Friday, Cuban Osleni Guerrero disputes the gold medal of the IX International Badminton Tournament of Suriname against the American Howard Shu today.

The man from Havana beat the Mexican Lino Munoz in two sets (21-17 and 21-13) in the morning, and in the night time semi-final repeated the result against Italy Rosario Maddaloni, 21-7 and 21-16.

As reported by the official website of the event, Osleni seeks to defend the title against an opponent who has beaten six times without a shadow of a setback. "However, I will continue taking care, as I have done with all the players I've faced," he told JR from Suriname.

With the advancement of Osleni and Howard to the final there were no surprises, they were the top seeds in the tournament. The northerner defeated Czech Jan Frohlich (21-14 and 21-8) in the semi-final.
