MANILA.- The Government of North Korea rejected the new sanctions of the United Nations Security Council which seek to punish its nuclear weapons development plan, by considering them a violation to sovereignty.

In a statement announced through KCNA official agency this Monday, the government stressed there will beno debates about the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula as long as nuclear threats and hostility by the US exist.

Last Saturday the UN Security Council approved unanimously a US-drafted resolution aimed at reducing to around one thousand dollars a year North Korean incomes resulting from exports of coil, iron, plumb and seafood.

For his part, the RPDK Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ri Hong-Yo stated that his country has no intentions of using nuclear weapons against any country other than the United States and only if they attack first, Prensa Latina (PL) reported.

The North Korean Minister who is attending the Regional Forum of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)said that DPRK is “a nuclear power and a State with great intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM),' and he was quite emphatic with the adjective.”

For their part, China and Russia advised North Korea to suspend its nuclear ballistics tests, as well as USA to ease tensions on the Korean peninsula. PL reported.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi asked his North Korean peer not to violate UN resolutions or to provoke the international community by launching more missiles or conducting further nuclear tests.

Wang also demanded that the United States and South Korea “stop raising tensions on the Korean peninsula”, in obvious allusion to the systematic deployment of warfare means on the area and to attempts to block Pyongyang economically and diplomatically.
