MANAGUA.— The 89th birthday of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro and the 85th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) Tomás Borge will be celebrated by young Nicaraguan people with different activities next August 13.
PL reported that according to the program scheduled by the Sandinista Youth and enhanced last Saturday by the press media, the poetry recital Con Amor para Tomás (With love for Tomás) will start next Tuesday as a homage to the founder of the FSLN who died in 2012.
In addition, the initiatives include the Digital Expo-Design Con Fidel y Tomás (Together with Fidel and Tomás) to be held next Wednesday at the National University of Engineering with the participation of fans and students of graphic design.
The Sandinista Youth, students with excellent academic results and handicapped children will place floral offers in Borge´s mausoleum on Thursday morning. The virtual Meeting Con Fidel y Tomás will be developed on the social network, and the figure of Borge, as an example for the students, will be highlighted in a student meeting in the afternoon.
The Leonel Rugama movement will offer a concert with musical bands and groups of Nicaraguan troubadours on Thursday too.
The Blogger´s workshop Un grano de maíz ( A grain of Corn) about techniques of the press and digital writing, a Cuban food Fair and a festival of Cuban salsa music are among the activities scheduled for Friday.
The districts of León and Matagalpa will support the initiatives developed to honor the date, reported PL.
