The System of Institutions of Higher Education Institutions of Science and Technological Innovation of Cuba signed a framework agreement to join the Academic Mobility Alliance.
The document was signed by Rodolfo Alarcón Ortiz, Minister of Higher Education, and Rebeca Grynspan, secretary general of the Alliance for Latin America in a ceremony held at the University of Havana.
This international organization is a mechanism of inclusion and equity that encourages the development of talent and the qualification of human capital and facilitates the academic and scientific exchange between the centres of higher education in the Latin American region.
The agreement signed by Cuba provides for the granting of 5,000 scholarships up to 2020, for students, teachers and researchers through a scientific stay in various countries of Latin America, Portugal and Spain.
