The 4th Trade Fair is a positive experience to enhance working relations and conciliation between producers and consumers to devise the 2018 plan of the economy, said Vice-president of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz in his opening speech of the event this Wednesday.
 
The also Minister of Economy and Planning referred to the importance of knowing what we have, since many times we import items which are produced in the country, or at least there is capacity for producing them, as published by the Cuban News Agency.
 
Cabrisas drew attention to the use of energy carriers and currencies, with priority for exports and their collection, and insisted on the need to change methods and approaches between the different sectors of the national economy in order to guarantee an integrated action to meet the objectives proposed by the Plan of economy every year.
 
He stated that the directions of the higher governmental bodies are directed, firstly, to satisfy the needs of the population, and later the high demands of a tourism which favors the consumption of national products.
 
Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning René Hernández stressed that the purpose for next year should guarantee the stability of the macroeconomic balance, the main development programs and a slight advance in the process of transformation of the economic structure, with higher emphasis on agriculture and manufacture. He also reiterated the importance of consolidating production linkages.
 
Cubadebate website reported that the Trade Fair called by the Ministry of Economy and Planning will be open until next May 25, in Expocuba fairgrounds, in Havana, Cuba.
 
At the event 300 entites are represented, 262 out of them are under state management, 15 joint ventures and eight non-agricultural cooperatives, with the aim of identifying investment potentials.
