In addition, the population over 75 years of age and those institutionalized in nursing homes, grandparents´ homes and psycho-pedagogical centers have been included.

All vaccines in the immunization schedule are applied to the country´s 451 vaccinators and 237 remote sites, and oral poliomyelitis and seasonal influenza vaccinations are administered per vaccination campaign, she said.

Aimed at the prevention of 13 diseases, in Cuba, an average of 4 million 800 thousand doses of 12 different types of simple or combined vaccines are administered an average, eight of them are of national production, three imported and one of donation.
