The 7th International Congress on Medical Emergency and Intensive Care is taking place in in Havana
The country boasts almost 2 000 specialized professionals in Medical Emergency and an important number of Nursing graduates, Health technicians and technologists. Director of Science and Technology Innovation at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), Doctor Ileana Morales said that together with the health care staff, they keep indicators which prove the increasing work in all the emergency and therapy areas of the country.
With the turnout of more than 300 delegates from about 20 countries taking part from today in the 7th International Congress on Medical Emergency and Intensive Care, the MINSAP official highlighted that there are 120 municipal intensive care areas in the Primary Health Care and 112 therapies in second and third level institutions.
After offering a panorama of the Cuban Health System since 1959, Ileana Morales praised that the development of human capital is a priority for the country.
