SANCTI SPÍRITUS.— The Network Applications Business Base Unit (UEB), attached to the Information and Automatic Technology of the Electric Union (UNE), extends its service to other entities of the country, with the aim of strengthening those computer-based systems.
According to UEB Director María Elena Díaz Gómez they are involved in IT and deployment of applications in important companies for national economy, like the institutions attached to the group of Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Industries (BIOCUBFARMA).
These entities are mainly benefitted with the use of applications for the control of the staff working in these centers. An example of this is that of the comprehensive system of human resource management.
She said likewise the Engineering and Chemical Research Center, Oil Research Center and the José Martí National Library are using this novelty.
She said that other units like the Enterprise of Specialized Technical Services in Cienfuegos have applied for this maintenance management system.
In UNE, the work of computer programmers favor the maintenance process of all the electric plants, the comprehensive system of transmission management and networks and of commercialization of this branch. Also the software enables to control different substations, Díaz Gómez said.
