Legality and Control of Parliamentary Commissions on the Table

Relevant legal and operational issues concerning the country’s internal running will be on the table for the meetings of ten permanent work commissions of the National People’s Power Assembly

The work of the Civil Registries and Notaries will be reviewed in the Commission of Constitutional and Legal Affairs of the National People’s Power Assembly (ANPP), as part of their work agenda, before the 7th Regular Session of the eighth parliamentary term, scheduled for next July 8.

 This debate will take place from July 4 to 6, in the meetings of the ten ANPP permanent work commissions to be held at Havana’s Convention Palace.

 With a view to strengthening the work of inspection and control by the state for the struggle against social indiscipline, illegality and corruption the Comptroller General’s Report on the compliance with the steps adopted by this institution, after its accountability before the National Assembly will be released at the Commission of Constitutional Affairs.

 The governmental and administrative experience developed in the provinces of Artemisa and Mayabeque will be one of the topics on which the permanent work group will be updated.

 In addition, some entities of the legal field will offer details on the current state of the legal work-related advice to the production bases of the agribusiness sector.

 Meanwhile, the Commission on National Defense will focus on the results of the control on the process of youth’s enrolment in the military registry and the call on the Active Military Duty during the first half of 2016.

 Likewise the results on the work of the General Custom offices will be reviewed to guarantee the compliance with its tasks and functions.

 The situation of the fire protection system in the country, the involvement of the Army and the Interior Ministry in the campaign against the diseases transmitted by the Aedes mosquito, the assessment of the results obtained in Granma’s mountains range communities amid the rearrangement of the Plan Turquino will also be reviewed.
