Cuba and DPRK Sign Protocols for Mutual Exchange

Authorities from both countries highlight the benefit of the tools for strengthening bilateral relations

The Minister for Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba Rodrigo Malmierca and the Ambassador of the Democratic People´s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Pak Chang Yul signed yesterday two documents for the strengthening of the links between both parties and taking advantage of the potential in both countries.
According to reports, the Protocol on Trade Exchange will allow the exchange of goods between both countries, while the Protocol of the Meeting for the Development of the Scientific-Technical Collaboration establishes a working agenda that will be developed during the entire 2016, and provides the essential guidelines for the collaboration.
Malmierca assured that «both protocols will make easier the exchange for both countries, » and in a previous talk with the ambassador of the DPRK, Malmierca urged making the most of the potential between Cuba and the DPRK, and making easier the meetings between companies.
«We are firmly resolved to deeply develop the relations between both countries, especially the economic and commercial ties, » Pak Chang Yul noted.
The Korean ambassador was grateful for the Cuban support in defense of Socialism, and the Cuban solidarity support, and he confirmed the invariable support of Korea to the cause of the Cubans against the U.S blockade.
