The Central Cuban National Seismological Service Station reported that a perceptible event, southwest of the city of Santiago de Cuba, took place this Saturday at 2:52 pm (local time). The epicentre was located at coordinates 19.76 north latitude and 76.01 west longitude, at a depth of 5.0 km and with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale.

This quake was felt at various locations in Santiago de Cuba, in Bayamo and the town of Bartolome Maso Granma province, in the city of Guantanamo and the town of Caimanera.

Later, at 4:30 and 4:42 pm two new events were felt to the previous area, at the same depth and with magnitudes of 3.1 and 3.6 on the Richter scale, respectively were reported. Both were felt in various parts of the city of Santiago de Cuba and in the town of Second Front.

These are numbers 29, 30 and 31 since the beginning of this anomalous seismic activity, which began on the 17th at 1:37 a.m.

No human or material damage was reported.
