Likewise, substantial resources have been destined for the electro-medicine area for the purchase of spare parts and the revitalization of equipment.

Dr. García Jordán assured that «current dental services in Cuba have full capacity for assuming basic treatments and orthodontic treatments, because the materials that guarantee quality have been acquiring as never before. »

The specialist also explained that the main investment priority has been focused on the area of training human resources who offer total coverage to the 1,229 dental services in Cuba, guarantying that every inhabitant has a dentist assigned and every specialist sees the patients of one or two doctor’s offices in every territory.

Thus, during the Exhibition Fair in the International Congress, which is taking place at the Havana Congress Center, Neuronic S.A., the commercial representative of the Cuban Neuroscience Center (CNEURO) launched a new digital technology that allows saving time for medical care and the cost for the impression, avoiding manual errors and offering comfort to the patients.

Besides the digital scanner that constitutes a component of the technological company and it’s used for capturing images without causing trouble to the patients, this technology allows working on dental prosthesis and implants of different types, and on orthodontic devices that have an accuracy and quality level superior of those traditional methods used in Cuba.

Neuronic S.A. and the Ministry of Public Health are carrying out a study at the dental clinic located at Calle 110 and 57 and in the Dental School of the Medical Science University in Havana for assessing the technology thoroughly, and extending its application little by little to the rest of the institutions in Cuba.

In addition, another long-time project of this company is the market introduction of surgical guides for improving the efficiency of the specialists and the quality of the medical treatment.

Likewise, the expansion of these services to the rest of the continent, mainly to those countries where Cuba is fulfilling missions in this medical specialty, has been planned.
