In the Potrero de Consuegra, where Major General Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz rescued Brigadier Julio Sanguily, around 500 young revolutionaries from all sectors of production and service attended the constituent act presided over by member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in the province Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca.
Top UJC leader in the country Yuniasky Crespo Baquero handed over to her peer in Camagüey Yoandris Ruiz Villalón the trophy with the logo which identifies the meeting. For her part, second secretary of the Youth organization Susely Morfa González, received the portrait of Major General Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz and the traditional Tinajón , symbol of this region.
In the Paseo de las Américas in Venezuela village, right in front of the busts of Simón Bolívar and José Martí, the members of Ciego de Ávila delegation to the 10th UJC Congress received the trophy which identifies the event.
With the presence of member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in the province Félix Duarte Ortega, Crespo Baquero handed over to the first secretary of the UJC Provincial Committee Maikel Pérez Valdés, the trophy with the logo which identifies the Congress.
The presidency of the Provincial People´s Power Assembly relayed its decision to give the UJC the replica of the machete used by Colonel Simón Reyes, who was known as the Trocha Eagle, as he was the liberation army chief who most crossed that military line in the independence wars.
During the moments leading up to the act, among other activities, the delegates gave recognitions to a representation of all the12 health specialists in Ciego de Ávila, members of the medical brigade which took on the Ebola epidemics in various African nations.
In both, Ciego de Ávila and Camagüey a group of young new members received their membership cards.
